I’m Pawlu - a writer, traveler, surfskater, internationalist and often fascinated person. I’m living a dreamy existence in which I get to support myself by working with clients to produce content, scripts and articles to capture their audiences’ attention to build long-lasting relationships and engagement.

I was born in Malta, but have lived in Luxembourg, Scotland, Canada and Austria. At the beginning of 2026, I will embark upon travels through and around South-East Asia. Working digitally and traveling have been goals towards which I have been building for years already, and I’m finally in a position to live that dream!

In the before times, I followed an undergraduate degree in English Literature and History with a Masters in Media, Communications and International Journalism. Having completed these degrees, I worked as a contributing Journalist for Lovin Malta - which taught me the ins and outs of writing news, features, opinion pieces, listicles and creation content for large online audiences.

While writing has always been and will remain an irreplaceable expressive outlet in my life, I also find it important to invest energy, passion and effort in activities which will not so easily have me replaced by a robot. Fingers crossed, at least, we won’t see the replacement of writers by A.I. - but at least I have surfskate to try hedge my bets.

When I’m not in the lab with a pen and a pad, you’ll find me teaching surfskate classes, out in nature, or ripping concrete up myself (evidenced in this picture, mid-air during my first ever surfskate competition: read about that here)!
