about me

I’m Pawlu. To those who know me, I hope to be understood the way I see myself: as a warm, caring, and hopefully empathetic being who loves to travel, skate, write, surf, learn and connect with others in a deep, meaningful and lasting way.

I was born in Malta, grew up in Luxembourg and learned to love life whilst studying in Glasgow. I now live in Vienna, where I landed my dream gig as a part-time surfskate instructor

Living that dream got me thinking: I should absolutely not limit myself to just one at a time. I haven’t ever been a career-driven animal, but I have always wanted to write for a living.

In Glasgow, I earned an Undergraduate degree in Literature & History, and followed that up with a Masters in Journalism. I took those qualifications to a Maltese media publication and worked there to publish over 300 articles.

Though I learned a lot there, life happily carried me away from that life, towards a new one in Vienna. And after a couple of years adrift here, I can feel the wind filling my sails.

I want to live free anroam. So here I am, taking whatever steps I need to, to do just that.
